This hospital has developed the concept of high level of health care facilities in this rural , backward and tribal area with Very low &amp; affordable cost or absolutely free.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ef3f2c2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ef3f2c2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Meghraj territory is rural as well as included in tribal area. Main sources of income are rain depended farming and labor. There is no development of any Industries In this area. There are two main problems for farming.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>(1) The land is not so much fertile and it is hilly<\/p><p>(2) There is no water available for irrigation<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>So Farming is totally dependant on monsoon season only. The labour work in this area is also related with farming in the absence of any other industries. The people can not meet their basic needs and can not take careof their health. Due to financial problem people in this region could not avail the benefits and facilities of a hospital.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>At Present in eye department we are operating about 7 patients daily totally free of cost &amp; we are operating 3 pt. daily in Gynec surgical &amp; Orthopedic dept. with very low and affordable cost.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Till now we have Operated more than 27,000 patients in the last 15 year ( free cataract surgery)<\/b><\/p><p><b>We also Provide Free Food to all indoor patients &amp; one relative of theirs.<\/b><\/p><p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Actually to run and maintain this Hospital we need around Rs Seven Lac per month. It means we need around Rs Eighty Four lac per annum apart from the amount received from the patients and from government in form of patients friendly govt. scheme.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Our moto is to serve the poor patients either free of cost or at very low and affordable fee. As per our moto we serve poor patients totally free of cost in ophthalmic department and in other departments like Gynec, Surgical, heart &amp; Medical and Pediatrics. We do surgeries and treatment at very low and affordable In Ophthalmic department we organized a screening camp in different different villages of surrounding 30 Kms of areas of meghraj Talulka as well as School screening program in the different different Schools of meghraj Taluka (about 297 Schools)<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>In my day to day practice I have observed most of the indoor patients do not take the medicine prescribed by our doctors hence I go through Reason why these patients do not taking the medicine given by our doctors then we discuss with them and found and then i come to conclusion that most of the indoor patients did not eat from early morning. They don&#8217;t have money for purchase the fruits and food also nobody can come from their home with food (Tifin) because of lack of transportation and man power. So we have started to provide free of cost food to all indoor patients and their one relative That\u2019s mainly becouse these patients do not have healthy diet can not afford to support such high doses of medicines.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>In our ophthalmic department on an average 90-100 Patients \/day are there. Out of them 20-25 patients are prescribed by doctors refractory glass \/ day but we are noted that the most of the patients are not able to purchase refractory glass due to Lack of money in hand (minimum Rs 150\/ one refractory glass) so we have started to provide refractory glass either free or Rs in 30 only to poor patients in our area.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Similar way during the School Health Program I have seen lots of students who do not concentrate on their studies due to vision problem so we have started to provide free refractory glasses to all school going Children having refractory error.
